Visitor Information

Mossley Light Festival 2017 welcomes all members of our community. We would like to encourage as many people to come out of their homes on this cold winter month and celebrate our community, life and friendship together.

There is lots to see and do as part of the festival but as with any public event we would like this to be as comfortable and safe as possible for all involved.

We have prepared some basic information and advice to help your visit  be as enjoyable as possible.

Traveling from outside of Mossley:

Mossley is easily accessible by train from Manchester (20 minutes), Ashton-Under-Lyne (10 minutes), Stalybridge (5 minutes), Greenfield (5 minutes) and Huddersfield (25 minutes). Buses are also available from all other areas of Greater Manchester. We would like to recommend traveling by train so you can enjoy The Northern Lights Exhibition at Mossley and Stalybridge Railway Stations.

Public transport information can be found here

From Mossley train station, the Market Ground is a 10 minute walk.

Parking advice:

Parking on Mossley Market Ground will not be available on the day of the event, we would like to encourage as many local folk as possible to walk to the event and leave your cars at home.
